Cyprus Event Guides Business Leaders in Practical AI Adoption

The Cultural Center of European University Cyprus in Nicosia will host AI in Practice: Changing the Future of Business on October 19, 2026. The event, held under the auspices of Cyprus Chief Scientist Demetris Skourides, aims to guide business leaders in understanding practical AI applications.
Organized by Panis.News alongside GrantXpert Consulting and the Future Skills Hub at European University Cyprus, the evening will feature founders, SME owners, and senior executives. Attendees will explore how to align AI technology with specific business needs through case studies, demonstrations, and direct speaker engagement.
Practical Focus for Business Leaders
The event runs from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Tickets are available until 12:00 p.m. on October 19, Cyprus time. Sessions will address challenges like identifying AI use cases, preparing teams, and linking technology investments to measurable outcomes.
Panis Pieri, founder of Panis.News, stated, “Business leaders need space to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and learn from those applying AI. We created AI in Practice to make that conversation accessible and useful. We want attendees to leave with a clearer idea of what they can do next in their own businesses.”
Dr. Celia Hadjichristodoulou, founder of GrantXpert Consulting and the Future Skills Hub, said, “Working out where AI belongs in your business takes real thought about your customers, your processes and your people.”

Historical Context and Expert Insights
AIA.Labs, the event’s Gold Partner, emphasized the urgency of practical AI adoption. Founder Sotiris Makrygiannis noted, “In 70s we learnt how to punch a card to go to work or program a timesharing computing machine, in 80s the personal pc and office tools, 90s the modem and basic internet, in 2000s mobile internet plus web shopping by 2010 the mobile apps. Now it’s the time to learn how to practically use AI and that alone is the most disruptive thing an individual can to do today. We happily sponsor the event because theory needs it’s practical application.”
